The Fragility Index measures subnational variation in six dimensions of fragility — economic, environmental, human, political-legal, security, and societal — using original household survey data from South Sudan. It was developed with a Duke Bass Connections team in partnership with the International Organization for Migration, and the IOM is adapting it for use in other conflict-affected countries.
